Michael Bailey Eanes

Michael Bailey Eanes, 75, of Martinsville passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Duke University Medical Center. Mr. Eanes was born in Martinsville on March 9, 1941 to James Leonard Eanes and Mary “Macy” Oakes Eanes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gail Wilson Eanes and his brother, Bobby Gene Eanes.

Mr. Eanes is survived by his daughter, Stacey Eanes Angstadt and her husband Pete of Kennett Square, PA.; his son, Brian Wilson Eanes and his wife, Liles of Mount Pleasant, SC.; granddaughters, Kendall Erin Angstadt and RileyWilson Angstadt; brother, Donald Wesley Eanes of Martinsville.

Mr. Eanes served in the Army National Guard. He was the President of American Standard Building Systems and later was the owner of Universal Pallet and Container Sales. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and a member of the Martinsville ELKS Lodge. He was also a member of the Piedmont Masonic Lodge, a 32nd degree member of the Scottish Rite, a member of the Kazim Shriners of Roanoke, VA., a member of the Piedmont Shrine Club and the Piedmont Ts.

Memorials may be made to the Shriners Crippled Childrens Hospital, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, S.C. 29605.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Revered Keith Ritchie officiating. Members of the Piedmont Masonic Lodge will perform masonic rites at his service. Mr. Eanes can be viewed at McKee Stone Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
