Charlotte Martin Peters Bullard

Charlotte Martin Peters Bullard, 88, of Martinsville, died Thursday, November 4, 2010 at a private nursing facility in Martinsville. She was born in Bassett, VA, April 6, 1922 to George W. and Betty Stone Martin. At one time, she was employed by DuPont and she was a member of Reed Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She also enjoyed playing golf. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry J. Peters, her second husband, Glenn Bullard, a sister, LaVeta M. Young and a brother, Russell L. Martin. She is survived by her sister, Frances M. Cooper of Martinsville, two sisters-in-law, Opal Prillaman and Irene Byrd and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 8, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Martinsville Chapel with Elder Thomas Solomon officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday.
