Charles Clifton Minter

Charles Clifton "Chuck" Minter was born in Martinsville on February 5th, 1954, to the late Clifton R. "Sam" Minter and the late Ethel Clement Minter. Chuck was a graduate of Martinsville High School and attended Patrick and Henry Community College. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy, our local National Guard, and with the VFW Honor Guard. Mr. Minter was the CEO for Ideal Fuels until it closed in 2010.

He is survived by one sister, Pat Jones, one niece, Amy Bedwell, one nephew, Clif Jones, two great-nieces and two great-nephews, along with a cousin/brother, Eddie Cochram and three fur babies.

Mr. Minter enjoyed NASCAR Racing, painting and the friendship of friends, both human and pets. He was extremely close to his numerous dogs and cats through the years.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Chatham Heights Baptist Church, 1235 Chatham Heights Rd, Martinsville, VA. and a Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 PM with Dr. Mike Hatfield officiating. Burial will be held at Roselawn Burial Park with Military Rites to be performed by the Martinsville-Henry County, Veterans Honor Guard.
