Melody Crowder

Melody A Crowder, 79, of Falling Waters, WV passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 at Harmony at Martinsburg. Born December 7, 1943 in Martinsburg WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Musser) Eichelberger.

She was a homemaker at heart. She loved taking taking care of her home and her family, including being a caregiver for her mother and grandchildren. She enjoyed her dogs, reading, watching Jeopardy & Wheel of Fortune, playing solitaire and drinking a cold beer. She entertained the staff at Harmony at Martinsburg with her humor during her stay.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years J. Wayne Crowder and two sons, J.D. Crowder and Timmy Crowder.

She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Debbie Stevenson, and her husband Brian of Falling Waters and Jenny Brown, and her husband Raymond of Berkeley Springs.

She is also survived by six grandchildren, Hope Ambrose, Jacob Brown, Rachel Hendershot, Melissa Hill, Joey Stevenson and Jesse Stevenson; and eight great-grandchildren, Serenity Ambrose, Hailey Brown, Logan Brown, Paige Hill, Sophia Hill, Wyatt Hill, Gabriel Busse and Oliver Busse.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 1-2 pm at Rosedale Funeral Home with funeral and graveside service to immediately follow. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Humane Society or Hospice of the Panhandle.
