Joseph Lewis Jones

Born on December 20, 1967 in Arlington County, VA, he was the son of Linda Lou (Cole) Eppard of Martinsburg and Douglas James Jones Sr (Becky Jones) of Frostburg, MD.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his long time fiance, Debra Reid; 3 brothers and 2 sisters: Douglas Jones Jr (Joyce Hallinan-Jones) of Rockville, MD, John Eppard (Tina Gray Eppard) of Edgewater, FL, Thomas Jones (Chrissie Heffley-Jones) of Rockville, MD, Susan Jones of Frostburg, MD, and Sarah Jones (Robert Burkett) of Cresaptown, MD; a son, Justin Barden (Caitlyn) of Leesburg, VA; granddaughter: Makayla Thornton; five nieces and nephews; and several aunts and uncles.

Joe grew up in Fairfax County, Virginia and attended Falls Church High School. He enjoyed taking his beloved dachshund Joe-Joe for nightly rides to look for deer. During his life, Joe worked various jobs, such as blacktop paving, landscaping, providing tree services, and roofing. He had a very generous heart and often gave cash to the homeless. It has been said, that he would give you the shirt off his back.

There will be no funeral service. All other arrangements will be private.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests that you help any of those less fortunate that you encounter, in memory of Joe.
