James "Jim" Eichelberger, born in Martinsburg, West Virginia on September 10, 1948, passed away on December 20, 2024, at the age of 76. Jim was a devoted individual, whose life was enriched by his family and passions.
Jim was employed by Garden State Tanning in Williamsport, Maryland, where he dedicated much of his professional life. Outside of work, he found excitement in NASCAR and drag racing, as well as in watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play baseball and football.
He is survived by his wife of 41 year, Christine L. Eichelberger; children: James L. Eichelberger (J.L.) and fiance, Jennifer Zeigler, Tracey L. Funk and husband, Mark Funk, and Tammy A. Hinckle; grandchildren: Aiden Eichelberger and girlfriend, Ella, Josh Funk and wife, Brittany, Bethany Fletcher and boyfriend, Sam, Tiffany Latham and husband, Dustin, and Destanee Funk; sister, Diane Doyle and husband, Larry; niece, Dawn Bussard and boyfriend, Roger; special cousin, Patti Gifft; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, George and Della Eichelberger; and mother-in-law, Betty Shoemaker.
A visitation will be held on December 30, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Rosedale Funeral Home in Martinsburg, West Virginia. The funeral service will take place at the same venue on December 31, 2024, starting at 10:00 am. Jim will be laid to rest at Rosedale Cemetery in Martinsburg.
Jim's legacy will be cherished by all who knew him, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones.
