Harvey W Rhodes Sr.

Harvey Wayne Rhodes, Sr., 71, of Falling Waters, WV, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 6, 2013 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Born August 26, 1941 in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of the late Harley Ray Rhodes and Nellie Blanche (Baldwin) Rhodes.

Harvey was a graduate of Fort Hill High School in Cumberland, Class of 1961. He worked as a forklift operator for General Motors Corp. in Martinsburg, WV for 36 years retiring in 1999.

Harvey was a member of Marlowe Assembly of God Church in Falling Waters, WV.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Frances Rhodes; three sons, Harvey Wayne Rhodes, Jr., and his wife Abbie, of Hagerstown, Gregory Allen Rhodes, and his wife Melinda, of Falling Waters, and William Ray Rhodes, and his wife Sherry, of Greencastle, PA; Six grandchildren, Alyssa, Krista, Megan, T.J., Morgan, and Makenzie; one sister, Mary Ann Antos of Baltimore, MD; a special brother-in-law, Darrell Lee Schumaker, and his wife Louise, of Oak Ridge, TN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Family will receive friends at Rosedale Funeral Home on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 7-9 PM.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11:00 AM in Marlowe Assembly of God Church, 9045 Williamsport Pike, Falling Waters, WV 25419 with Pastor James Lloyd officiating. Interment to follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
