Born January 18, 1947 in Enid, Oklahoma, he was the oldest son among the five children of the late Harry C. and
Clara C. Sperry.
David attended and graduated from Annandale High School in Annandale, Virginia.
David was a proud Vietnam War Veteran that served in the Navy as a T brancher Cryptologic Technician.
The ships he served on was the Oxford, Yellowstone and the Lawe.
Later in life he became a professional Long Haul trucker for 40 years, also an operator and owner with 3 Million Miles accident-free driving record.
He enjoyed spending time Hunting and Fishing and had a love for Hot Rods, Motorcycles and working on cars.
A lover of animals, David took care of his two beautiful horses named Jesse and Princess and several dogs including Milo and Buddha.
Even in the hardest times David had a positive, uplifting and encouraging outlook on life. He loved the Bible and it was a very important part of life for him, often studying Eschatology.
David is survived by his wife of 18 years Joanne Sperry; children:David C. Sperry Jr. (Ginni) and Timothy P. Sperry; Grandchildren:Jordan Sperry-Clark (Ian), Sophie Sperry, and Marissa Sperry; Siblings: Ann L. Sperry-Radford (Dave), Michael E. Sperry (Pat), Mark T. Sperry, and Christine M. Sperry-Randel; and step mother Joyce Sperry.
