Burton Ronald Thomas, 44 of Martinsburg passed away on April 7, 2023.
Born on April 1, 1979 in Norfolk, Virginia he was the son of Judith Athey and the late Leroy Thomas Sr. Burton loved football and Nascar, with the Cowboys and Jeff Gordon being his favorites. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews and loved them dearly.
He is survived by his mother Judith Athey, brothers: Leroy Thomas Jr. and Stephen St. Peter; sisters: Wendy Thomas and Crystal Waters and husband Thomas; aunts: Cheryl Viands and husband Ted, and Candi Kehl; many nieces and nephews and 4 great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Burton and Shirley Whitney, paternal grandparents Grady Thomas Sr. and Adelle Ackiss; 3 siblings and the man he called dad, Neil St. Peter.
A memorial service will be held at Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church on April 20, 2023 at 1 pm with Pastor John Woullard officiating.
