Alice Virginia Bowers Dick

Alice Virginia Bowers Dick was born on September 6, 1946 at her home in Morgan County, WV where she lived all of her life, and she left us to be with Jesus on June 11, 2024 from her daughter’s home in Winchester, VA where she was loved and cared for in her final months by her family.

Waiting for her in Heaven are her parents, Alva Ellis Bowers and Mazie Marie Bowers, her brother, Henry Ellis Bowers, and her son, Donald (Donnie) Wayne Dick II.

She has one sister, Edna Marie Gosnell with her husband, David, and their children and grandchildren.

Alice was married on Christmas Day, 1965 to Donald Wayne Dick, at Snyders Bible Chapel where she was a faithful member all of her life. Their 58 years of marriage was full of love and great memories with so many sweet friends.

Their daughter Rhonda Sue Donadieu and her husband Michael have four sons, three daughters-in-love, and four grandchildren: Bryan Michael and Ashley Lauren Donadieu with their children, Cameron, Aubrey, and Carter, Juston Michael and Ashley Dawn Donadieu, Collin Michael and Courtney Alexa Donadieu with their son, Caleb and Camren Michael Donadieu.

Alice carried and passed on the legacy and gift of Hospitality that her mother before her began. She was a wonderful Daughter, Wife, Mother and Grandmother (Memal), and she loved everyone (often by feeding them) and was faithful in telling them just how much they meant to her. She always found and spoke of the good in others. Weekly Sunday Lunches and Family Reunions with everyone (as she thought of everyone as family) were some of the most cherished moments of her life.

The family will receive friends at Snyders Bible Chapel on Saturday morning, June 15th, from 9am-11am with the funeral service beginning at 11am. Interment will be in Snyders Cemetery followed by a meal at the church social hall.
