Mr. Paul Earl Whitehead

Mr. Whitehead worked with Job Corps in Indiana as a recreation director and counselor to direct youth. He is retired from Gracewood, where the children retained a special place in his heart. Paul was always in due response to others and their needs, volunteering his time and assisting financially when the need arose. He was an active member in his church, Whole Life Ministries where he served in various ministries, until his health declined.

Mr. Whitehead is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Turner-Whitehead; one daughter, Rynecia Peace; two sons and daughter in law, Terrell Turner and Ferrell and Tia Turner; eight grandchildren; one precious great-granddaughter; eight sisters, Tutt, Teresa, Patricia, Gwen, Diane, Dorothy, Sandra and Sylvia; one brother, Henry; numerous nieces and nephews; and his Border Collie, Caleb and Golden Retriever Moses.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, at Whole Life Ministries with Dr. Sandra Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park with full Military Honors.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Whole Life Ministries, Building Fund, 2621 Washington Road, Augusta, Georgia 30904, in Paul’s memory.
