Kamla Devi Arora, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a friend, passed away peacefully in Augusta, GA, on April 21, 2024, with her family by her side. Born in December 1932 in Amritsar, Punjab (India), she came from a religious Hindu family and had three brothers and three sisters. Growing up in India, she passionately served the less fortunate and hungry people and was an active volunteer in her community. She was a very spiritual person, an avid reader of sacred scriptures and always involved in events at the Hindu Temple and Shri Gurdwaras.
She was known for her vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and boundless love for her family and friends.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be cherished by her large family and friends.
She is loved by 3 sons, 2 daughters and their spouses, Dr. Alvinder (Vijay) Arora, Suman (Dr. Shyam) Verma, Dr. Rajesh (Alpna) Arora, Sharda (Dr. Rakesh) Sethi, and Dr. Vishal (Julie) Arora; 10 grandchildren, Drs. Ankur (Payal) Arora, Dr. Neha (Jiten) Vaitha, Nikhil (Nicole) Sethi, Lyka (Geoff) Sethi-Iwata, Dr. Natasha (Abhishek) Arora-Neelashu, Shaan (Janki) Arora, Sahil, Karthik, Nathan, and Devi Arora; 7 great-grandchildren and her two sisters, Lily (Chaman Lal) Sapra and Urmil Khurana; numerous nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of friends. She will be deeply missed.
Funeral Services: Thursday, April 25th at 10 AM at Elliott Funeral home, 4255 Columbia Rd, Martinez, GA 30907. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Golden Harvest Food Bank.
