John Obe Sharp

Mr. Sharp served in the United States Army for two years, from 1963-1965. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Mr. Sharp worked as a welding inspector and plant superintendent from 1978-2003. Mr. Sharp and his wife are members of Parkway Baptist Church.

Mr. Sharp is preceded in death by his parents, David W. and Edna M. Sharp; and sister, Linda S. Murray. Survivors include his wife, Saundra K. Sharp; daughters, Kimberly Lane (Marshall Lane) and Tisha Stone (Scotty Stone); sister, Wanda Wenz (Marvin) and brother, David Sharp; grandchildren, Hunter Lane, Shelby Puckett, Abigail Pittenger (Garrett), Taylor Stone and Scott Stone; great-grandchildren, Talmadge Lane Pittenger and Gunner Scott Pittenger; and his four-legged companion, Yo-Yo.

A memorial service will be held at 3pm, Wednesday, January 31 at Parkway Baptist Church with and Rev. Russell Davis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church.
