Bobby Barton

Mr. Robert "Bobby" Michael Barton, born in Augusta, Georgia, to the late Thelma Rickerson Barton and the late William Frank Barton, Sr, went home to be with the Lord at age 69 on September 19, 2018 at Doctors Hospital. He graduated from Augusta Tech. He was a business owner in the Laundry industry at E-Z Do Wash & Dry, Michael's Laundry & Cleaning Center, Vogue Cleaners & Laundromat, and Barton's Coin-Op. Bobby was the loving husband of 46 years to Darlene Barton. He is survived by his son, Michael (Kimmy) Barton; grandson, Nolan Barton; brothers, Bill (Kay) Barton and Eddy (Thelma) Barton, and the late Benjamin Barton; sister, Bette (Earl) Gregory; sister-in-law, Sandra (Jimmy) Martin; brother-in-law, Jimmy (Colleen) Watkins; several nieces (Shelby Watkins, Kim Marinich, Leslie Stephenson, Beth Hamilton, April Hutto, Krissy Barton, Kelly Nichols); one nephew (Trey Barton) and the late nephew, Heath Martin. He also leaves behind his dogs, Sassy & Prissy, which he called his "Little Angels."

Some of Bobby's hobbies were hunting and fishing. He was a member of National Hills Baptist Church. Bobby never met a stranger, leaving behind countless enjoyable and happy memories. He traveled throughout the Southeast selling commercial laundry equipment for the last 20 years of his life.

Friends and family members may attend the visitation at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 23, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Kevin Steele, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, Georgia, 30907.
