Ashleigh Danielle Smith

Ashleigh Danielle Smith was born December 1, 1992 and passed away July 18, 2020 at 27 years old. She was born in Augusta to the late David Smith and Linda Larkin. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandfathers, Carroll Smith and Daniel Larkin Sr.; and step brother, Mario Garcia Jr.

She is survived by two sons, Trey and Hayden who she loved very much; step mother, Patricia Smith; sisters, Jennifer Foster (Corey) and Brittany Smith; sister-in-law, Jackie Garcia; grandmothers, Jo Lynn Smith and Ruth Larkin; aunt, Carolyn Eustace; uncles, Johnny Smith, Dan Larkin III and John Larkin; nieces, Haley, Olivia, Carolina and Alexa; nephew, Brayden; cousins, Ryan Eustace, Kelli Cromwell (Anthony) and Corey Smith.

Ashleigh was a beautiful, smart young girl with a big heart and her dad’s infectious smile. She fought a hard battle with addiction, which ultimately resulted in her death. She fought to get clean, to find happiness and regain a relationship with her boys only to relapse to cope with the heartache of estranged relationships and the unbearable pain of losing her parents and brother. Her family longed for the day that Ashleigh would live a life free of drugs, full of happiness and to see her dream of being a nurse to help others become reality. Although Ashleigh lost her battle with addiction she is now at peace, watching over her boys and family. Ashleigh will forever be in our hearts, this is not goodbye it is until I see you again.
