Robert Frederic Wilson Sr.

Robert F. Wilson, Sr. age 87, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016. Beloved husband to his devoted wife of 70 years, Dorothy LeCompte Wilson. Loving father of Barbara Wilson Brasset (Evans Jr.), Robert Wilson Jr. (Joan), Kim Wilson Camardelle (Kenny), Kevin Wilson (Kathryn) and Ken Wilson (Nadine). Proud grandfather of Shannon Brasset Livaudais, Amy Brasset Price, Cortney Wilson, Robert Wilson III, Amanda Foster, Grant Artigue, Jason Camardelle, Jared Camardelle, Erica Wilson Bellio, Nicholas Wilson, Amanda Wilson, Zachary Wilson, Faith Wilson and Hope Wilson. Great grandfather of 12. Son of the late James and Frances Wilson. Brother of the late Richard, Edward, Clarence, Woodrow, James and Earl Wilson, Julia LeSaichere, Jessie Boudreaux and Katherine LaBruzza. Robert also leaves behind nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Robert loved the outdoors. He was an avid gardener with a green thumb. He also enjoyed spending time by the water, casting his rod, but he treasured the time he spent with his family most of all. He will be sadly missed by all who loved him.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Westside Leitz-Eagan, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Visitation from 11:00 AM until time of service. Interment will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna.
