Raymond Aubry Rabalais Sr.

Raymond Aubry Rabalais Sr., age 96, of Luling, Louisiana passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Penn and D.L.O. Rabalais. He was the loving husband of Audrey "Jeanette" Rabalais for 57 years. Devoted father of JoAnn Becnel (Leonard Sr.), Raymond "Butch" Rabalais, Jr. (Cindy), Patricia Becnel (Ernest), the late Donald Ray Simmons (the late Pam), Sidney "Carl" Simmons (Karen "Cooney"), and Rhonda deBautte (Kelly). Grandfather of sixteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. Brother of the late Ronald Rabalais, the late Murriel Falgout, the late Donna Deroche, the late Melvin "Billy" Rabalais, the late Steve Rabalais, and the late Delores Alexander. Raymond was preceded in death by the mother of his children Joyce Martinez Rabalais. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who are left to cherish his memory.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, October 11th, 2024 at St. Anthony of Pauda Catholic Church, 234 Angus Drive in Luling, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at the church at 1:00PM and continue until the Mass time. Raymond will be laid to rest immediately following the Mass at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling, Louisiana.
