Pamela Ann Ballew

Pamela Ann Cheramie Ballew of Marrero, Louisiana went home to her Lord, Jesus, on November 20, 2024 at the age of 63. Pamela was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Doris Bruce Cheramie Norman and the late Ennis J. Cheramie Sr. on February 10, 1961.

Pamela was the adored wife of Steven J. Ballew for 44 loving years. She was the loving mother of Brett J. Ballew and Jeremy M. Ballew. Cherished "Maw Maw" of Erik Ballew, Bracy Ballew, Bretton Ballew, Brayston Ballew, and Lachlan Ballew. Beloved sister of Lisa Cheramie Myers (Michael Myers), Jason Netherland, Elizabeth Cheramie, John Cheramie, the late Enis Cheramie Jr, Bruce Cheramie, and Christina Cheramie. Pamela was the doting "Fur Mama" to Rocky and Maggie, the late Teenie, Goldie, Sam, Jake, Amelia "Mimi," Adelle, Kipp, Angelle, Zeke, Kaeleigh, as well as every neighborhood animal in need. Pamela is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly and forever cherish her memory.

Pamela spent the majority of her time extending care to those in need, cherishing her mother until the end. She had a soft spot for animals, and was known for providing love to any animal she came across. She was also quite crafty, spending many years creating jewelry and other artistic endeavors. Pamela was a member of the Red Hat Society, and enjoyed spending quality time with relatives and friends.

A Visitation for Pamela will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at 9:30 AM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home followed by a Christian Service at 1:00 PM.
