Mark Matthew Alombro

Mark Matthew Alombro, "Perch", entered into the Gates of Heaven on Sunday, June 30, 2024. He was 63 years old and a resident of Terrytown, Louisiana. Beloved husband of Darlene Alombro for 43 loving years. Son of the late Clarence and Gloria Alombro. Loving and devoted father to Britney Marie and Dominique Nicole Alombro. Father figure to Brandi Delaune. Devoted and proud Poppy of Briley Rae, Bowie Joseph, and Brooklyn Grace Richard, and his fur babies Marley and Kaptin. He is the cherished brother of Gloria Willoz (the late Jake), Clarence "Bubba" Alombro, Jr. (Polly), Lois Venable (Steve), the late Michael Alombro, the late Brenda Matherne (Bobby), Carmelita Laurent (the late Layton), and Romel "Nunnie" Alombro (Cherie). Mark is survived by his Godchildren, Stormie Pisciotta and Nicholas Alombro. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

For most of Marks life, he worked in the oil field industry. For the last 18 years, he worked at Inspection Specialists for his long time friend of many years, Rodney Dufour. He also cherished his coworkers that grew to become his family. Mark was the biggest fan of the New Orleans Saints and loved all sports. He always enjoyed playing golf, supporting golf tournaments, and playing softball for many years at Belle Terre Playground. He loved music and attended countless concerts. He grew up in the Irish Channel and enjoyed marching in the Irish Channel Corner Club Parade. Mark was the happiest when cooking and spending time with his family. His three grandbabies were his pride and joy. Mark was a man of deep faith, who loved his Promised Land Church family. He will be deeply missed by all who were lucky enough to know and love him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 1:00PM on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 11:00AM and continue until the service time. Mark will be laid to rest at Westlawn Park Cemetery in Gretna, Louisiana.
