Lilly Estelle Champagne Strahan, age 71, of Harvey, Louisiana passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Peter and Sylvia Champagne. She was married to the late Kenneth Strahan, Sr. for 50 loving years. Devoted mother of Kenneth Strahan, Jr. (Jill), Sean Strahan (Felicia), and Kelly Strahan. Loving grandmother of Geolicia Brown, Alyina Strahan, Alycia Strahan, Akeem Common, and Arriyah Strahan and great grandmother of Kyrin Brown, Khalil Williams, and Mark Simmons, Jr. Lilly is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Lilly dedicated her life to teaching students of Special Education with the Jefferson Parish School Board, and later retiring from Belle Chasse Academy. She was known for her cooking, and having the best cakes for every occasion. She will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know and love her.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, January 9th, 2025 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 9:00AM and continue until the service time. Lilly will be laid to rest with her late husband, Kenneth Strahan, Sr., at Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale, Louisiana.
