Jose Angel Pantoja

José Angel Pantoja, Born May 6, 1934 age 85, entered eternal life on March, 31, 2020. He is proceeded in death by his father Angel Pantoja, mother Matilde Garcia de Pantoja, sister Andrea Esparza, brothers Kiko and Ruben Pantoja. Jose is survived by his wife of 54 years Celia Holgin de Pantoja, his 3 sisters Virginia Lopez, Esther Alcatar, Mary Helen Martinez, 3 bothers Benny Pantoja, Chon Pantoja, Steven Pantoja. Children Irma Perez(Rusty), Jose”Pepe” Pantoja (Juanita), Jose Angel Pantoja Jr. “Junior”, Carlos Pantoja (Leticia), Ricardo “Ricky” Pantoja (Sheila), Sylvia Gonzalez (Noel), his grandchildren Nichole, Laurah, Jacquie, Aaron, Sarah, Savannah, Nick, Savannah Angel, Christina, Juana, Sheylli, Joshua, Hannah, Nadia, Nyla his 18 great grandchildren, nieces,nephews and other Family members and friends.

Jose in his early year was known by some of his friends as “El Koreano” because they thought he looked a little Korean. Jose would later moved to New Orleans in 1965, 2 weeks before hurricane Betsy hit and has been a resident ever since. In the late 60’s he started his own company know as Pantoja Construction where he was a cement finisher later on his sons would work along side of him and worked all the way till 2010. Pantoja enjoyed spending time with his dogs cookie, and Lilie also his 2 birds. He enjoyed listening to music specially Mariachi, fishing and having long conversations with his family and always saying Huéspede when he called you.

Pantoja known to many but by his love ones also known as honey to his wife, paa to his kids, Tata or Abuelo to his grand kids. Will be missed, but never forgotten. Forever you will be in our hearts.
