Captain Glenn Paul Templet Sr.

Captain Glenn P. “Glenn-O” Templet passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the age of 65. He was the beloved husband of Catherine Templet. Father of Glennpaul Templet (Jessica) and Troy Templet (Kelli). Grandfather of Adrian Templet, Julien Templet, Dawson Templet, Benjamin Templet, Gunner Templet, and Gabrielle Templet. Brother of Wayne Templet Sr. (Sherry) and Paulette Lawson. Son of the late Avie Templet and Nita Portier Templet. Brother-in-law of Anne Claret (Gary). He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was a member of the United States Coast Guard Reserve for six years, and traveled extensively as a private yacht captain, ending his career as a personal assistant to his friends Gene and Johnnie Reed of Charleston, SC. He was an outgoing person who made deep friendships everywhere he went. The family would like to thank Hospice Associates of New Orleans, as well as Dr. Jayne Gurtler and her staff.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 8:00 AM.
