Eugene Casselles Colley III

Eugene “Gene” Casselles Colley, III entered into eternal rest peacefully at his home after losing his battle with cancer on Thursday, March 29, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband of Nadine Hawco Colley and loving father of Jennifer Colley Fehrenbach (Kurt), Gene Colley IV (Brandy), Zachary Rankin (Courtney) and the late Erin Colley and Katherine Colley. A proud grandfather of Kyle Runnels, Christian and Cydney Colley. Son of Audrey Shearman Colley and Eugene Casselles Colley, Jr. Brother of Kenny Colley (Judy). He was also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age 69, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Marrero, Louisiana. “Gene” graduated from New Orleans Academy and was president and owner of several businesses; E. C. Colley Warehouse, R. H. Keen, Dock Lift Services, and Mardi Gras Logistics. He enjoyed playing drums in a band, “The Threshold of Sound” as well as riding his Harley along with cruising in his 1966 GTO. He also enjoyed fishing, spending time at the camp in Lafitte, cooking (especially boiling seafood) and mostly spending time with family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy., Marrero, LA on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 1:00 PM.
