Dolores Ann Bernard

She was the beloved wife of the late Lynn Louis Bernard Sr.; mother of Lynn Louis "Lenny" Bernard Jr. (Kathy), Trudy Marie Bernard, and Paul Joseph Bernard Sr. (Charmaine); Daughter of the late Leona Richoux Hotard and Claude Hotard, Sr.; Sister of the late Douglas Anthony Hotard Sr., Alvin Joseph Hotard, and Emelda Mary Hotard Fourreaux; Half-sister of Jake "Pookie" Hotard, and the late Ione O'Conner, Joann Martin, Calvin "Jimmy" Hotard, and Claude "Sonny" Hotard; Sister in law of Torisia Hotard; Grandmother of Brent Michael Baudier (Brandi), Brittney Lynn Bernard, Brandi Bernard Padilla (Charles), and Paul Joseph Bernard Jr; Great Grandmother of Blair Michelle Baudier and Brysen Michael Baudier. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Dolores was the president of the Worley Junior High School PTA for two years. She was a substitute teacher in the school system before becoming the clerk to the Dean of Discipline at Worley, where she retired after 30 years in 2000.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass from the Chapel of WESTSIDE\LEITZ-EAGAN Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until Mass Time. Interment will be in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum, Westwego, LA.

In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred.
