Carol Ann McCoy

Carol Ann McCoy, of Westwego, Louisiana passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 10th, 2023, at the age of 75. Carol was born in Delhi, Louisiana to the late Claude and Verbie McCoy. She was married to the father of her children, Landis Hasque Taylor, then married to the late Dennis Warren Grammar. Devoted mother of Betty Ann Plaisance (Harold), William Paul Taylor, Sr. (Kristy), and Peggy Michelle Taylor. Proud Nana of seven grandchildren, Brett James Plaisance (Amanda), Hope Ann Plaisance, Kimberly Marie Malicote (Glen), Brittany Nicole Hebert (Dustin), William Paul Taylor, Jr. (Lauren), Harlan David Ellis (Tabitha), and Cole David Ellis (Shely) and eight great grandchildren, Osiris "Ozzy" Plaisance, Glen Taylor, Gianni Taylor, Dustin Hebert, Jr., Bryson Hebert, Jackson Ellis, Mia Ellis, and Lucas Ellis. Sister of the late Brenda Sue Moseley. Aunt of Mark Wayne Moseley (Tracy) and great aunt of Erin Moseley and Amy Moseley. Carol is survived by her lifelong best friends, Carol Dixon and Lola Ragusa. Carol is also survived by other relatives and many friends who will miss her dearly.

Carol was a 1965 graduate of West Jefferson High School. After high school she attended Our Lady of Holy Cross College to study Accounting and later graduated from the Academy of Scientific Hair Design for Cosmetology. Carol enjoyed traveling, gardening, crocheting, quilting, reading, playing and teaching the piano and spending quality time with her family, friends, and her little dog, Skye.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, March 18th, 2023 in the chapel of Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero, Louisiana. A visitation will begin at 9:30AM and continue until the service time. Carol will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum in Westwego, Louisiana.
