Camille Joseph Chauvin

Camille Joseph Chauvin, age 97, of Terrytown, Louisiana passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024. Camille was born on October 12, 1927 in Westwego, Louisiana to the late Camille and Vivian Chauvin. He was married to the love of his life, the late Dolores Chauvin, for 70 years. He was the most devoted father to his three children Laura Borders (Mike), Dawn Humphries (Ray), and Paul Chauvin (Kelly). Paw Paw of Chad, Jennifer, Justin, and Alan Ray. Great Grandfather of Autumn, Ashley, Peyton, Xavier, Gage, Jayce, and Stevie. Brother of the late Carlos Chauvin, Ruben Chauvin, Carmen Gautreaux and Marie Jones. Camille is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Camille was a devout member of White Dove Fellowship Church. He loved his church family like his own. Camille was also a proud veteran of the United States Army and served during the Korean War as a forward observer. He had a great sense of humor, loved to tell jokes and make others laugh. He was also known for his crafts and woodworking. Nothing gave him more pleasure than to share his creations with everyone around him.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, November 15, 2024 beginning at 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expressway in Marrero. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM and interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna.
