Allyn Ann Rogers

Allyn Ann Fabre Rogers passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at the age of 77. She was born on September 20, 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Alvin and Ellavea Fabre. She was the beloved wife of the late Roy Rogers, Sr. for over 59; mother of Roy James Rogers Jr. (Kim), Robin Molinario (Anthony "Tony"), JoLinda LaCross (James "Jimmy"), and Slade Rogers (Mandy); grandmother of Joshua Rogers, Sr. (Angela), Roy Rogers III (Kelly), Anthony Molinario III (Kansas), Angelo Molinario, James LaCross III (Mia), Jamilyn LaCross (Tommy), Megan Trosclair (Gadge), Dustin Trosclair, Slade Rogers Jr., and Mason Rogers; Sister of Alvin Fabre, Jr. (Kathy) and Mary Jo Hargis (the late Bert); Sister-in-law of Nathan Rogers (the late Peggy), Michael Rogers, Donna Dempster (Crown) and the late Rosaria Cottier, Lynn Rogers and Joseph Rogers (Shirley), and Godmother of the late Bert Hargis, Gerard Caulfield, Diane Dempster and Jo Della Verdin. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, 2 great, great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Allyn was an amazingly loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, getting together with friends and going to church but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, February 9, 2024 beginning at 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM at St. Joachim Catholic Church, 5505 Barataria Blvd in Marrero. Funeral Mass will begin at 12:00 PM and interment will immediately follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna.
