Willie Marie Chandler

Willie Marie Chandler, 95, of Chilton, passed away on March 2, 2023 at her residence. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Adams Funeral Home with the Reverend Truett Newton and the Reverend Mark Newton officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service. Interment will follow in Carolina Cemetery.

Mrs. Chandler was born on September 26, 1927 in Wallace, Texas to Wiley and Cassie (Barfield) Archer. She married H.C. “Dick” Chandler and they celebrated over 51 wonderful years together until his death on March 27, 1999. Mrs. Chandler worked for Owens/Illinois Glass plant for 20 years, she loved gardening, working in her yard but her true love was her family. She was very active in the First Baptist Church in Chilton and served Meals on Wheels.

Mrs. Chandler was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters; Ollie Smith, Juanita Robinson and Earnestine Williams and brothers; Randell and Wiley Archer. Survivors include her daughter; Carolyn Chandler, son; Randy Chandler and his wife, Sandra, sisters; Burrell Fancher and Maxine Hart, grandchildren; Becky, Beth, Necy, Micah and Joel, great grandchildren; Ashlie, Leighton, Chandler, Laura, Brooke, Kyle, Ashton, Carter, Lacey, Emilie and Caleb, great-great grandchildren; Jacob, Aubrie, Levi, Journie, Maxton, Denver and Kaiden and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren; Joel, Micah, Frank, Chandler, Leighton and Greg. Honorary pallbearers include Kyle, Ashton, Jacob, Carter and Caleb.
