Clara M. “Staley” Wolf, 95 of Markle, passed away Wednesday afternoon September 27, 2023 at the Heritage Pointe of Huntington where she resided the last few years. Clara had attended the Markle United Methodist Church. She had worked at Wabash Magnetics for many years until her retirement. Clara loved to read, especially romance novels.
Clara was born on August 12, 1928 in Allen County, Indiana a daughter of the late Ward and Mabel (Gatton) Staley.
She was united in marriage to Donald Wolf on July 2, 1948 in Fort Wayne, he preceded her in death on January 16, 1992.
Survivors include a grandson: Jason Glassburn and a granddaughter: Wendy (Bob) Lash of Three Rivers, MI; a great granddaughter and a daughter-in-law: Carolyn Wolf of Florida.
She was preceded in death by two daughters: Judy Glassburn and Nancy Wolf; a son: Ronald J. Wolf; two brothers: Ward Staley Jr. and Frank Staley; and a sister: Ellen Marquardt.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle IN 46770.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Myers Funeral Home, Markle Chapel immediately following the visitation
Interment will take place at the Markle Cemetery.
