Brenda Carson

Mrs. Carson was born October 9, 1951, in McDowell County, NC to the late Alvin Carson and Laura Glenn Wilkerson Carson.

She was an inspector for Rock Tenn and the former company Etta Packaging. She was a faithful member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Marion, where she loved to worship and sing in the choir. Mrs. Carson was a lover of yard sales and was a great organizer.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Hunter and Mary Christine Fleming.

Surviving Mrs. Carson is her husband of 17 years, Warren; a step-daughter, Juanita Young; a step-son, Michael Carson, both of Marion; sisters Glenda Conley (Benjamin) of Marion and Lovie Thompson (Kenneth) of Atlanta, Ga.; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Marion with Rev Michael Smith and Rev. Vernadean Starks officiating. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
