Mr. Travis L. Morelock, age 86 of Austell, passed away Monday, November 7, 2011. Mr. Morelock was a WWII Navy Veteran who also retired from Lockheed Martin after 32 years of service. He was ordained a Deacon of the Second Baptist Church in Fort Payne, Alabama in April of 1960. He was a member and Deacon Emeritus of Milford Baptist Church for nearly 50 years. He was also a former member of the Free Wheeling Camping Club. He was a devoted husband and father and will be deeply missed.
Mr. Morelock was preceded in death by his brother Buren Morelock and sister Ina Mae Jones. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years Mrs. Mary R. Morelock; daughters Joyce Foster and husband Terry of Fayetteville, GA, Janice Leven and husband Dean (deceased) of Dawsonville; sisters Beatrice Campbell of Fyffe, AL and Vernette Smith of Ft. Payne, AL; grandchildren Joshua Leven, Rebecca Leven and Ruth Ann Leven, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 12:30pm at the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Clarence Howard officiating.
