Mr. Robert B. Smith

Robert Bruce Smith, 67, of Stockbridge died Sunday morning April 11, 2010. He was born in Albany, NY to the late Alvin R. Smith and Geraldine E. Truax Smith, but spent most of his younger years in Cleveland, OH. He proudly served in the United States Army for 22 years, 2 months and 2 days. He was a member of the American Legion Post 160 of Smyrna where he leaves many friends. He is survived by his devoted and loving fiancée, Brenda Riggins of Marietta, one brother, Alvin Smith and wife Sandi of Au Train, Michigan; five children; three grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew as well as his loving and caring extended family Renee and Mark Rhodes and sons Morgan and Hayden; and Richard and Mandy Riggins and sons Remington and Ramsey.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 13 at 11:00 AM in Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Foster available. Interment will follow with full military honors at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
