Kenneth Wayne Plunkett

Wayne was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on June 6, 1933, to Kenneth Reese and Virginia Strain Plunkett. After graduating from the University of Virginia, he married the love of his life, Patricia Anne Parrott. As an electrical engineer, Wayne worked in the defense industry in Huntsville, Alabama, as a civil servant employed by the U.S. Army, then defense contractors after retirement. Wayne and Pat raised three children in Huntsville and were active members of the community. Wayne was an elder at First Christian Church. Wayne loved sports – from lacrosse in college at the University of Virginia to golf later in life.

His beloved wife passed away on November 26, 2021. His three children are Mark, Susan, and Michael. He had twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Wayne will be honored at a graveside funeral at Kennesaw Memorial Park on Wednesday, November 29, at 2:00 P.M.
