Kathy Elaine Harrigan

Kathy Elaine Harrigan, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2024. Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Kathy graduated from Pebblebrook High School, where her vibrant spirit began to shine.

A successful entrepreneur, Kathy was known for her exceptional talent in transforming spaces, first through her wallpapering business and later with her landscaping venture. Her ability to take ordinary and unattractive environments and turn them into stunning works of art was a testament to her creativity and passion.

In 1993, Kathy married the love of her life, Ted Harrigan. Together, they enjoyed 31 wonderful years filled with laughter, adventure, and unwavering support. Kathy had a love for travel and spent many cherished moments exploring the world with Ted. She also found joy in reading and cooking, often inviting family and friends to share in her culinary delights.

Affectionately known as "KK" to her nine grandchildren, Kathy was a devoted grandmother who cherished every moment spent with them. She loved to attend their sporting events, take them camping, and engage in arts and crafts, instilling her love for creativity in each of them.

Kathy had a kind heart and an adventurous spirit. She was known for her warmth and generosity, often hosting parties that brought family and friends together, creating lasting memories filled with joy and connection.

Kathy is survived by her beloved husband, Ted; her six children, Taylor, Christine, Kelly, Ryne, Taryn, and Patrick; and her nine cherished grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and the impact she made on every life she touched.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 19, 2024 in the Historic Chapel of Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM prior to the service. Following the funeral service, the family will head to the graveside privately. Followed by a celebration of life at the Harrigan household. Flowers are appreciated.
