Joseph S. Mrus, age 91, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. Joseph was born September 6, 1931 to the late Stanley and Mary Mrus. He retired from IBM, and was a US Veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. In his spare time, he enjoyed golf, travel, and loved being outdoors having a fondness for sports, playing and watching and he treasured time spent with family.
Joseph is preceded in death by his brother, John Mrus and granddaughter, Lisa Chastain. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Mrus; seven children, Dick Mrus, Robert Mrus, Joe Mrus (Sally), Diane Gayle (Calvin), Thomas Mrus (Stephanie), Theresa Patrick (Chip), Paul Mrus (Nanette) and nine grandchildren:
Catherine Mrus, Adam Mrus, Amy Mrus, Maria Mrus, Jordan Mrus, Tyler Mrus, Drew Mrus, Jay Mrus, and Cade Mrus.
A Memorial Mass will be held at NOON, on Saturday, October 15th, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3401 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, GA with a reception at the church following the Memorial Mass. A private burial service will be held on Nov 2 @1:30 at the GA National Cemetery in Canton.
