Janet “Perky” Alea Heinrich of Marietta, GA passed away April 23, 2024 at the age of 92. She was born in Plainfield, New Jersey to the late Voltaire and Nancy Persson on June 29, 1931. Janet is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter E. Heinrich; sons, Ralph, Eric, and Richard Heinrich.
She was a devoted mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She taught the sunshine class at her church, Olive Springs Baptist Church. She was devoted to her special needs children, special olympics, and meals on wheels. She was loved by many and traveled the world with her beloved family and friends. She took her special needs kids to camp for many years and bowled with the special olympics kids.
She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Miles-Totherow and Dawn Lamb; son in law, John Lamb and daughter in law, Denise Heinrich; grandchildren, Joey (Michele) Collings, Derek Heinrich, Alea Cox, Chris (Christina) Cox, Brian Lamb and Taylor Lamb; great grandchildren, Caleb, Kinley, Carly, Rylan Cox, Danner Collings, Harper, Liam, Tanner Lamb and Chloe Daly; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 PM Monday April 29th, 2024 with a Memorial Service immediately following at Mayes Ward Dobbins Funeral Home, Historic Marietta Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Kennesaw Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Camp Twin Lakes 1100 Spring Street Atlanta, Ga 30309 or camptwinlakes.org donate and tribute donation.
