- Harold Reid Clark, a WWII veteran, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 21st, 2019. He was born in Hogansville, Ga. In 1925. During high school he enlisted in the Navy where he served his country in World War II. Once back stateside, he completed high school and worked at the Reid Mill in Hogansville, Ga. Soon afterward, he landed a position with Lockheed Martin Corporation in Marietta, Ga, where he worked for 37 years. He loved people so after retiring from Lockheed, he worked for Sam’s Club for 10 years in Marietta.
Although he had no children of his own, Harold spent a lot of time coaching and refereeing youth sports in the Marietta area for many many years. To call him an avid sports fan is an understatement. Harold loved ALL sports but most of all baseball and was an Atlanta Braves baseball fan.
Harold is preceded in death by his wife Peggy Clark.
He is survived by step-daughter, Valerie Howard of Senoia, GA; Nephew, Charlie Stevens of Pensacola, FL; Nephew, Cary Clark and wife Linda of Woodbury, GA; Nephew Chris Clark and wife Tricia of Stockbridge, Ga.
Graveside service will be held Saturday May 25 at 10 AM at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Greg Hall will officiate.
