¬¬Mrs. Cheryl Carr O’Connor Moore, age 61, of Marietta, GA, formally of Coffeyville, KS, passed away September 25, 2010. Mrs. Moore was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she served as Music and Choir Director, Primary Teacher, and many other notable positions. She volunteered in her community through Habitat for Humanity, Red Cross, M.U.S.T. Ministries, and Cobb County Emergency Services. She was a Human Resource Specialist with Mingledorff’s, Inc. in Norcross. She enjoyed sewing, landscaping, horseback riding, improving her home, and travel. She was also very patriotic and enjoyed history. She is preceded in death by her father, Oliver Fern Carr, and sister, Alona Wentworth.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Ronald T. Moore, Sr. of Marietta; mother, Elnora Evelyn Baker Carr Allison of Coffeyville, KS; daughters Kelly Lynn O’Connor (husband, John, Jr.) Morgan of Woodstock, Cassandra Kae O’Connor of Marietta, Tanya Beth O’Connor of Daytona, FL, Geneva A. Moore Norman of Danielsville, Jiovanna C. Moore of Sandy Springs, Lacy A. Moore (husband, Michael) Jones of San Diego, CA, Bree A. Moore (husband, Kevin) Heider of Kennesaw, and Season L. Moore (husband, Ricky) Sagendorf of Salt Lake City, UT; sons, Ronald T. (wife, Penny Gilbert) Moore, Jr. of Pace, FL, Cimarron A. (wife, Diana Garcia) Moore, of Woodstock, and Brandon J. (wife, Cherry Oden) Moore of Cartersville; grandchildren, Rachel Moore, Monica Moore and Ciera Johnson, Joshua T. Moore, Andrew T. Hord, Caleb J. Moore, Cameron A. Moore, and Melina O. Jones; brothers, Gerald D. (wife, Charlotte) Carr, of Berlin, Germany, and Richard (wife, Doris) Atkinson, of Pittsburgh, KS; niece, Janet Wentworth Reinhardt; nephews, Curtis Wentworth, Shawn Wentworth, Randolf Carr and Franklin Carr.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at 9:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on Trickum Road in Marietta with remains to lie in state at the church from 8:00-8:45 am. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 30, from 4:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.
