Barbara Ann Russell, age 82, passed away on July 27, 2022. Daughter of the late Howard “Jim” Taft Smith and Alberta Reynolds Smith, Barbara was born on August 24, 1939 in Candor, North Carolina.
Throughout her life, Barbara enjoyed a successful teaching career with the Charlotte-Mecklenberg (Charlotte, NC) & Cobb County (Marietta, GA) School Systems. She also valued spending quality time with her friends and caring for her family.
Mrs. Russell leaves behind her loving husband of 59 years, Billy J Russell; sons, Brooks Russell, Brad Russell and Brandon Russell; grandchildren, and extended family members and friends to cherish her memory.
A memorial service to honor Mrs. Barbara Ann Russell will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at ten o’clock in the morning at HM Patterson and Son Canton Hill with Rev. Tim Locke officiating. She will be laid to rest at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia at a later date.
