Ann was born on June 16, 1943 in Queens, New York.
Philip, Ann’s husband, preceded her in death in 2018.
Along with her three siblings, Ann grew up in a rural home in New York’s Catskill Mountains. The family had a small dairy farm, which also produced maple syrup and later a small motel was added to their enterprise.
After graduating from Hunter Tannersville Central High School in 1961, she attended the State University of New York, at Oneonta. Following graduation, she was hired as an elementary teacher, which led her to Cape Cod. While on the Cape she met her future husband Philip, who was serving as a Petty Officer in a Navy anti-submarine warfare squadron.
After marriage, Ann was introduced to the military life of travel experiencing many coast-to-coast assignments and living as far abroad as Puerto Rico.
After Philip’s time on active duty, they moved to St Louis where Philip finished an aerospace engineering program at St Louis University.
Following Philip’s graduation from the University, they started frequent moves again. From the state of Maryland to Washington, to New York, and finally settling in Georgia.
Ann and Philip had three children – Michael, Daniel (spouse Carolyn) and Jeannemarie Eskridge (spouse Daniel), and five grandchildren – Logan and Sophie Aubertine, Dashiell, Corbin and Cecilia Eskridge.
Ann loved to garden, comb beaches for shells and shark teeth, read, collect books, craft, and sew. She supported her family’s passions, especially boy scouts and girl scouts. She was an active parishioner everywhere she lived and no matter where she went, she always made sure of knowing how to find the local church.
Ann truly was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be missed dearly by all.
