Valerie Lynn Lockhart

Valerie Lynn Lockhart, of Marengo Illinois, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 28th 2024. She was born February 17th 1956 to Morris and Rita Kiefer. She attended Marengo Community High School, graduating in 1974. She worked for Aubrey Manufacturing in Union, Illinois until it closed. Then she worked for Geodis Transportation until the time of her passing. Valerie's greatest joy in this stage of her life was spending time with her grandchildren. In her free time she took care of her cats and was always looking for a friend that she could help.

She sadly leaves behind her children, Ryan (Heather) Lockhart and Jeremy Lockhart; grandchildren, Tucker, Finnegan, and Bailey; mother, Rita Kiefer; sisters, Barb (Jeff) Miranda, Brenda Mitchell, Angie (Larry) Philbee; many nieces and nephews, Glenn Colligan and April Lampert, Kiefer and Ashley Hackler, Ronnie Duncan, and Colton Wightman; her Sunday morning breakfast partner, Linda Thorson. She was preceded in death by her father, Morris Kiefer; partner, William Thorson.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 2pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 4pm at St. John's Lutheran Church (6821 Main St, Union, IL 60180). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
