Sandra L. Brooks

Sandy was born September 7, 1946 in Rockford to Leon and Katherine (Hurd) Donaldson. On July 11, 1987 Sandy married Lowell Brooks.

Sandy worked as an inspector at Precision Twist Drill for many years. In her younger years, Sandy enjoyed camping and fishing. More recently, she loved making quilts and afghans for her family. Her faith was important to her and she loved listening to worship music.

Sandy was a five time cancer survivor. Even when she was in the midst of her own battle, she tried to be there for others she met through the cancer centers.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Lowell Brooks; her children, Robin Hilleman, Robby (Chris) Henson, Penny (Brian) Osborn, Monica (Rick) Yearton; her grandchildren, Branden (Jordan) Hilleman, Katelyn (Miguel) Gomez, Zach Henson, Olivia (Stephen) Jordan, Ben (Sandy) Henson, Sam Henson, Eli Henson, Christopher (Jessica) Cox, Cassandra Meneely, Kyle Osborn, Jonathon (Hailey) Yearton, Amanda (David) Flynn, Marcus Henson, Shawnae Yearton; her 18 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Deb (Denny) Mumford and Jeannie (Mike) Tate; and several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Deryl Donaldson and Jeff Donaldson.

There will be a gathering from 11am to 2pm on Saturday, February 25 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo. The memorial service will follow at 2pm.
