George F. "Babe" Rosset Jr.

He was born December 25, 1925 in Northfield to George and Elsie (Foote) Rosset Sr. On July 15, 1967 he married Lorraine Knoll in Northbrook.

George was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during WWII. He was also the owner of George & George in Northbrook.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; his daughters, Judy (Robert) Stewart and Karen (Dan) Tuttle; his grandsons, Brett, Benjamin, and Bradley; his great-grandson, Gabriel; his brother, Ronald (Lucy) Rosset; his sister-in-law, Ginny Rosset; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7pm on Sunday, March 30 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 6821 Main St., Union. Visitation will continue from 10am to 11am on Monday, March 31 at the church. The funeral service will be at 11am.

Interment will be in Marengo City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or to Northern Illinois Hospice.
