Thomas Davie, age 84, of Naples, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday, May 27, 2022. Thomas was born April 21, 1938 in Renton, Scotland, United Kingdom. He was the oldest of eight children born to James and Flora Davie. Tommy immigrated to America in 1961 from Dumbarton, Scotland and settled in Washington Heights, NY with his family. He leaves behind his loving long time partner of 19 years, Jane Minishi. He was battling cancer and passed away at AVOW Hospice House.
Tommy is survived by his son Stephen Davie (Laura), cherished grandchildren Samantha & Dan Calenda and Allison Moccio, and great grandchildren, Gianna, Daniel, Mason and Scarlett. He is also survived by grandchildren, Mark & Matthew Warner and CoryAnn Gallo, his dear sisters and brothers: Jean McDiarmid (Joe), Christened Miller, Phyllis Grant, Jim Davie and Johnny Davie. He was predeceased by his parents, his sisters: Mary Cannon, Saddie Davie, Isobel Davie and his daughter, Elaine Warner.
Thomas was a professional painter, wallpaper and restoration contractor for residential and commercial properties for many years. He enjoyed playing soccer, snow skiing and in his later years he learned and loved playing golf. He also wrote, composed and sang, "A Day on the Isles of Capri", a song he wrote in honor for the love of the island. Tommy had a very interesting life.
Tommy will be missed greatly by his family and friends. To honor his life, A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
