Marco Island resident Thomas (Tommy) Joseph Ackerson passed away on June 24, 2024. He was born September 19, 1984, in Ridgewood, New Jersey, but lived most of his life on Marco Island from a young age. He is survived by his parents, Tom and Susan Ackerson.
Tommy, a beloved and integral part of the Marco Island community, left an indelible mark. His music, whether as a DJ or on the drums, brought joy and warmth to all he encountered. His profound love for his family and friends was a constant source of inspiration and touched countless lives.
Tommy was dedicated to his family business, the Old Marco Pub. He ensured everyone had a good time with plenty of music, laughter, good food, and company. His memory will continue inspiring and comforting all who knew and loved him.
Tommy’s life will be celebrated at the Hodges-Josberger Funeral Home on Marco Island on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 12:30 PM. A gathering of friends and family will occur from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Friends are invited to join the family afterward at Kretch’s Restaurant
