Ken is survived by his loving wife, Anne Homes, and their two sons, Mark (Lucy) Homes and Vince (Julie) Homes. He was a proud grandfather of four: Keegan, Griffin, Brigette, and Nicholas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Sylvia Homes, and his sister, Valerie.
Born on May 2, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, Ken joined the Army in 1962, serving four years as a G2 Intelligence Analyst stationed at Patch Barracks in Stuttgart, Germany. It was there that he met the love of his life, Anne.
They married on March 19, 1965, in Germany. After Ken completed his military service, he and Anne returned to Chicago, where they started their family.
Ken enjoyed a long career with ComEd before retiring in 1998. He and Anne then moved to Marco Island, where they embraced retirement.
Ken was an avid golfer, enjoyed boating, and volunteered at the Moose Club on Marco Island. Together, Ken and Anne traveled the world and shared a wonderful life.
Ken will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
