With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to the vibrant soul that was Christine A. Williams, whose journey came to a close on March 11, 2024, at the age of 70, in the tranquil embrace of Naples, FL. Celebrating a life lived to the fullest, we honor her remarkable 70 years.
Born on April 29, 1953, in Rochester, NY to the late John P. Fahey and Adelaide M. (Meier) Fahey. Christine graduated from Greece Olympia High School in Rochester, NY. Her zest for life led her to a fruitful career in the travel industry. Her dedication and expertise shone brightly during her tenure at Pittsford Travel, Van Alphen Travel, and Carlson Wagonlit Travel, where she helped countless individuals secure reservations for their business trips and plan business meetings.
On November 9, 1974, Christine married her soulmate, Jeffrey L. Williams, in a joyous ceremony at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Rochester, NY. For nearly 50 years, they shared a love that was steadfast and true, a partnership built on unwavering support and a profound understanding of one another. Christine and Jeffrey began their journey together with a romantic honeymoon in Jamaica in 1974. Their shared passion for the open water brought them immense happiness as they embarked on many treasured bare boat charter trips to tropical locales like the British Virgin Islands and Greek Islands, creating memories to last a lifetime. Together hand in hand, they explored idyllic places such as Hawaii, St. John's, Aruba, and St. Kitts. However, their most cherished escapes were cozy weekends sailing blissfully on their boat at Oak Park Marina on Sodus Bay, anchoring with dear friends to share raucous laughter and sparkling evenings under the stars.
In her free time, Christine embraced the beauty of the world around her. Sailing became her sanctuary, where her spirit soared with the caress of the wind and the dance of the waves. Sunsets held a special place in her heart, painting the sky with vibrant hues that mirrored her joyful soul. Christine’s love for exploration knew no bounds as she traveled the world, creating unforgettable experiences alongside her cherished family and friends. The thrill of fast cars, the challenge of golf, and the lively competition of pickleball ignited her with passion, bringing a twinkle to her eye. Christine and her daughter Kelly shared an appreciation for cars, both believing that being in Florida required a sporty and stylish convertible. For Christine, it was her silver Corvette Stingray convertible, a symbol of her love for life's exhilarating moments. Additionally, she was actively involved in her communities through the Rochester, Lake Pontchartrain, and Marco Island Power Squadrons.
Christine’s radiance extended far beyond her hobbies and career. She was known for her beautiful smile, a reflection of the warmth and kindness that resided within her heart. Her funny personality and quick wit brought laughter to those fortunate enough to know her. Christine possessed a warm and caring charm. She was always ready to support and nurture those around her, especially her adored daughters, Kelly and Jennifer. As a loving and dedicated mother, there was nothing more important to her than her girls. Not a day went by without her checking in to see how they were doing. Kelly and Jennifer were the embodiment of her greatest joys, and their happiness was her most cherished reward.
In addition to her mother and father, brother Marty Fahey, nephew Keith Fahey, special friend Lori Greaser, and in-laws Edward M. Williams and Janet T. Williams, Christine was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kelly M. Williams, whose untimely passing on March 9, 2024, left an immense void in Christine’s heart.
She will be profoundly missed by her loving husband Jeffrey L. Williams; daughter Jennie L. Williams (Sebastian Smith); brother John Fahey (Beverley Fahey); niece Heather Stevens (John Stevens) and their children Hannah and Grace; niece Lindsay Fahey; brothers-in-law Kim Williams and Todd Williams; nephews Keith Williams and Aron Williams; and dear friends Mary Alice O’Shaughnessy, Rick Hibbs and Bridget Arieno.
