After High School in Houston, Texas, Ginny enrolled in and graduated from The University of Oklahoma. Then she went to work in the world of real estate and finance in the City of Dallas. She was successful in her work and the world of golf became very important to her. She played often and made many friends on the golf course. Her work for The Byron Nelson Golf Tournament in the Dallas area included scoring for many notable players, as well as event hospitality. She continued to play golf regularly and eventually discovered our mecca of Horseshoe Bay. After several visits, Ginny decided to move to her version of a golfer’s “paradise”. She fit in immediately, making many long-time friends and continuing her work in the real estate profession. She also met and married a local resident and golf “at any time”, Bob. She also found time to start a water-exercise program called “The Waterbells”. From the pictures of the Waterbells in action, that was a group of fun, fitness, and friendship which is a perfect description of Ginny herself.
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Steve and Laura Huston and survived by her husband Bob of Horseshoe Bay, her Step Daughters, Stacey and her family of Austin Texas, and Lauren and her family of Katy, Texas, and her sisters, Barbara and her husband Jim Eschenheimer of Lee’s Summit, Mo., Cathy and her husband Bill of Chicago, Ill. and Jane and her husband Dick of Houston Texas. Also three cousins and numerous nephews and nieces.
Her Funeral Service and Burial of her ashes will be June 14th, 2022 at 2:00 pm, at the Horseshoe Bay P.O.A. Mausoleum, (turn right off of Mountain Dew at Mausoleum sign) and will be officiated by Father Ruben Patino, C.S.P. It is a rather lengthy walk from Mausoleum Road to the burial site itself. Because of the temperature, please dress accordingly.
Following the graveside service, there will be a gathering of friends and family at the Family Life Center of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Lite refreshments available.
