Roger Cook “Rabbit” Crowder, Sr. age 62 of Marble Falls earned his wings on October 30, 2016. He was born June 4, 1954, in Big Spring to Dale Crowder and Gloria Lee Crowder. He grew up around Big Spring and was a former resident of Houston and Blanco before moving to Marble Falls in 2000.
Roger served our nation in the Army for six years. He worked on an oil rig but his passion was driving big rigs and dump trucks. For many years he worked as a driver for Collier Materials. He married Leslie Maugham in August 2000.
Roger is survived by his wife Leslie, sons Roger Cook Crowder, Jr. and Clint Cook Crowder, mother Gloria Crowder, brother Todd Rea and sister Linda Hannemann. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Velma Maugham, sisters-in-law Ollie Busby and Betty Maugham and brother-in-law Willie Maugham, Jr. and many nieces and nephews.
Roger is preceded in death by his father Dale Cook Crowder and father-in-law Willie Maugham, Sr.
The visitation will be held Friday, November 4 from 6 to 8 pm. Roger’s funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday, November 5 at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home with Reverend Weldon French officiating. Interment and military honors will follow at Marble Falls City Cemetery.
