On September 16, 2014 David Michael Hugunin lost his battle with cancer and went to be with the Lord. He left behind his wife Kim and his four children; Joseph, Katie, Andrew, and Julia. He also had nine brothers and sisters all residing in Missouri, along with his many nieces and nephews. He was a water Operator in Lake Travis, Texas at the time of his passing. David loved and served his country proudly in the United States Coast Guard. He was a devoted Catholic and parishoner at St. Paul the Apostle Parish. He loved Nascar racing, camping, cooking, country music, dancing and had many daddy date nights with his youngest two children; Andrew and Julia. He was very proud of his oldest son; Joseph in earning an Eagle Scout and his NHSS membership and his swimming abilities. He was also very proud of his oldest daughter; Katie going on to be an Athletic Trainer. He loved his family and helping them in any way. He could build anything under the sun. Lastly his wife whom he adored was the glue that held his family together.
Funeral Mass will be held for David at St. Pauls the Apostle Catholic Church in Horseshoe Bay at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 19, 2014 with Father Reuben Patino officiating.
